Annual Confirmations

Each year our auditors McElhaney & DiClaudio, P.C., in connection with our financial statements, confirms the remittances that an employer made during that stated period to the Carpenters' Contribution Trust Account. If your company has been selected you will receive a cover letter explaining the confirmation purpose, reports by contracts and a summary page.

The cover letter is the page that you will submit to McElhaney & DiClaudio, P.C. Please sign and date it. If there are discrepancies note what they are and submit those with the cover letter. Click here to view a sample sample cover letter.

The report by contract breaks the receipts down by the settlement reports you submitted. You should be able to match your payments by period using these reports. These reports include the settlement reports and invoices /credit memos that were applied to the period end. Click here to view a sample page 1 or sample page 2.

The summary page is just that. This page summarizes all the receipts that your company submitted. It is the sum of all the contracts in which you paid. Click here to view a summary page.

Commonly asked Questions:

Employer Number - Four digit number

Contract Number - Five digit number that appears after the employer number. Most of the contracts are by area worked not by local union. But if you need to view what locals are covered by the GPA Carpenters, Click here to view a list of the local unions.

Period End - Ending work date in which you submitted your reports for.

Medical - May appear as Welfare on the settlement reports.

Pension - Appears as Pension on the settlement reports.

Savings - May appear as Annuity on the settlement reports.

Other - This the sum of all other benefits, such as Apprentice, Dues, etc. that was paid on the settlement report for that period.

Total - Total payment for period end date.
